HOW ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SHIPPED?
Being an eco-conscious and sustainable brain is one of the pillars of our business. From the very beginning, we knew we'd face some challenges finding packaging that both secures glassware and doesn't harm the planet. But, we think we've found the balance!
Orders of one, two, or three candles come in 100% recyclable cardboard mailers made specially by Flush Packaging. Orders of four or more candles come in priority mail cardboard boxes and are cushioned by biodegradable cornstarch packing peanuts, recycled bubble wrap, and/or kraft paper. All of our mailers are also secured by paper tape instead of plastic.
CAN I CANCEL OR MAKE CHANGES TO MY ORDER?
Order cancellations or edits can only be made one hour after you place your order. Please send us an email right away if you need to make changes to your order.

CANDLE CARE
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COTTON AND WOOD WICKS?
We offer both wood wick and cotton wick candles, and we love them both for different reasons! The biggest difference between the two is that wood wicks produce a slight crackling sound as they burn, and tend to require a bit more maintenance to burn evenly. We've also noticed that they have a softer scent throw, making them an ideal choice for those who are sensitive to fragrance.
WHY DO I NEED TO TRIM MY WICKS?
Both wood wicks and cotton wicks needs to be trimmed to 1/4" before each use. Continually relighting the burnt tips of wood wicks will burn up the wood and cause the flame to extinguish itself. Cotton wicks that are not trimmed will begin to mushroom and create a flame that is too large for the jar, posing a serious fire hazard. Trimming your wicks also ensures that no excess debris will get into the wax.
HOW DO I GET MY CANDLE TO BURN EVENLY?
Candle tunneling occurs when a wick is blown out too quickly. You'll notice it happening when your wax pool doesn't reach the edges of jar and instead "tunnels" all the way down, leaving behind a lot of wasted wax.
Upon first burn, always let the melted wax pool reach the edges of the jars before blowing out the flame. Wax has memory, so if the top layer doesn't completely melt on the first burn, your candle will only burn to the edges of where the melted wax first reached as you continue to use it.
MY WOOD WICK WON'T STAY LIT. WHAT CAN I DO?
Wood wicks sometimes require a little extra TLC to get going. Upon first burn, light your wood wick from the base rather than the tip. You may need to hold your flame on the wick for a few seconds.
If your wick extinguishes itself, do not relight the burnt tip. Trim your wick, then try lighting again. Don't worry, it's okay if your wick gets pretty short! If you continue to run into problems, email us directly and we'll help you out.
